Running the Race after Camp
Christianity isn’t a philosophy, it’s not about who knows the most stuff. Christian Endeavourers are doers.
Historically, CE started as a way to train and equip young people to become leaders within their local church. We want to tap into that history! We know that CE Camp is only one week of the year yet following Jesus is all year round. It can be hard sometimes knowing how to take the momentum of CE Camp back into your lives in your homes, churches, schools and communities.
God has given us a race to run as Christians as we magnify Jesus, love our neighbour, and make disciples of all nations.
There are many different race tracks, terrains and events in running a foot race and in the same way, to help you run your race of faith together we have set 4 “Tracks” for you to run to challenge and encourage you to make the most of camp!
During community time you’ll have an opportunity to think and pray through the tracks you might want to consider together. The CE race tracks are all about getting alongside your teammates in faith and doing it together.
Will you take up one of these CE Race Tracks as we run the race together, fixing our eyes on Jesus with perseverance?
There are five CE practices that we value and hope you will own with us:
Relying on love and renewal from God (John 15:5)
The worship of God (Matthew 22:37-38)
Action toward others (Matthew 22:39)
Christian community (John 13:34)
The mission of God (Matthew 28:19-20)
Because we know the power and impact God can do through young people we want to put the ownership of living out these practices over to YOU.
Hebrews 12:1-2 says “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
