learn what’s new

It will be a great chance to introduce future leaders to the CE community so please consider inviting over 18’s who have a passion for children’s or youth ministry, including developing leaders.

2016 Annual General Meeting

Generations impacted by CE gathered to rejoice in God’s goodness at the Annual General Meeting on 14 May, 2016.

Together we praised God for his faithfulness for once again using Junior and Senior Camp to show more of Himself to the next generation.

Theres Bertram, Nick van Ruth and Amy Chesser were welcomed onto the State Board – an answer to many prayers. Their arrival is all in God’s perfect timing as the Board begins to answer the question of CE’s role within SA.

Prayers for the children and young people of today to know Jesus, and to go where he goes, closed out our time together.

Celebrating CE

The Christian Endeavour community thanks a faithful God and celebrated what He is doing through CE in South Australia at their Annual General meeting on Saturday 9 May, 2015. Thank you to the CE members who attended and played an active role in protecting and promoting the vision, beliefs and values of the organisation.

Worshipping across generations and denominations is always a blessing, and as we bathed CE in prayer for the coming year God’s faithfulness to past and future generations was evident.

The membership welcomed Grace Dickson as State Secretary. Having been involved in Senior Camp since 2004 she loves that what she does behind the scenes means that others are released to serve God’s people without having to worry about the nitty gritty details. The Board is certainly blessed (and very thankful!) to have Grace join them.

Lastly, a note from Joan Moulton – a past Junior Camp volunteer and past Board member, who currently meets with the Senior Grade. She sums up well the feeling of all who attended.

The CE Seniors were delighted and so thankful to God, to read and hear so much more of all you are doing…or rather all He is doing through you all.

We send our love and thanks to God for all your talents and time and energy and inspiration that is enriching the lives of so many young people and their families too. May He continue to richly bless each one as you all walk with Him.

Junior & Senior Camp

Thank God for successful training days and team BBQ’s
Pray campers arrive open to the Spirit shaping them
Pray first time campers would feel welcomed
Thank God for leaders to alongside and support campers – fill them with God’s love and wisdom as they prepare
Pray that final preparations go smoothly
Pray for protection and safety when travelling to camp and when on camp
Ask that the weather be not too hot and not too cold – but just right
Thank God for camp speakers and leaders and ask that they are filled with the Holy Spirit – that they may speak transforming truth into the lives of campers
Pray that campers know Jesus Christ as their Saviour
Ask God to bless partnerships with churches as follow up is done after camp

The Network

Ask God for volunteers to step forward as coaches as we pilot SEQUEL, a coaching program, in partnership with Access the Story
Ask God that campers who want to go deeper with Him will sign up to the SEQUEL
Pray that campers and leaders would be inspired to dream big with how they can do God’s work on earth and that people would apply for grants ($100 give away each month for Kingdom projects)
Bless country campers as they are given a $20 bookstall voucher

Your Project in October

As a first time camper last year, Ashleigh Barnes has received a $100 grant from the CE Network.

She’ll be using it to encourage her youth leaders by putting on a celebration dinner and giving each of them a small gift.

Volunteers and campers of all ages who were on last year’s Junior or Senior camp are encouraged to apply, with applications closing on the first Monday of each month.

Your Project in September

Sam has been connected to CE Senior Camp since 2009, and last year led for the first time.

His grant money will go towards printing CDs and covers for a 4 song EP by MTC, the band he’s a member of. They hope the EP will be released towards the end of the year and encourage people to love Jesus and love others.

Inspired to put Jesus’ word into action?

The CE Network has tweaked ‘Your Project’ and we hope it helps you be doers in your faith.

Each month we’ll give $100 away to help you encourage and empower people to be renewed by God, to worship Him, to act in love toward others, to be in community and to go out on mission. Check out ideas here.
