Your Project in August 2015

Nick has been coming to Senior Camp for 6 years and we’re excited to help him grow in how to communicate God’s story with those around him.

He’ll head to the SA Preaching School, a 2 day conference where he will learn from Vaughan Roberts (Ebbe’s Rectory in Oxford).

The CE Network was happy to support Nick by giving a $100 grant. Find out why here.

Volunteers and campers of all ages who were on last year’s Junior or Senior camp are encouraged to apply, with applications closing on the first Monday of each month. Get in before 7 September for the next one – we’d love to support you.

Kate is one of the growing number of Senior campers coming from Cleve. She has enjoyed seeing how others have helped spread God’s word through the grants and decided to apply herself.

Later in the year she will be travelling to Indonesia with other Year 11 Navigator College students to visit an orphanage and a school.

The CE Network was happy to support Kate by giving a $100 grant. Find out why here.

Volunteers and campers of all ages who were on last year’s Junior or Senior camp are encouraged to apply, with applications closing on the first Monday of each month. Get in before 3 August for the next one – we’d love to support you.

Volunteers are invited to the CE Launch

Past, present and future volunteers are invited to celebrate 90 years of Christian Endeavour camps in SA at the CE Launch, Thursday, 30 July at St Bart’s (Norwood) (directions). Gather at 6pm for a shared meal (provided) and stay on for:

  • prayer, worship, testimonies and supper
  • recognise long term volunteers
  • receive camp promo for your community
  • be the first to hear about the Network scholarship

It will be a great chance to introduce future leaders to the CE community so please consider inviting people who have a passion for children’s or youth ministry, including developing leaders. Use facebook if that helps!

For catering purposes please rsvp to christian.endeavour@ce.asn by Monday 27 July.

Volunteers and campers of all ages who were on last year’s Junior or Senior camp are encouraged to apply, with applications closing on the first Monday of each month. Get in before 6 July for the next one – we’d love to support you.

Celebrating CE

The Christian Endeavour community thanks a faithful God and celebrated what He is doing through CE in South Australia at their Annual General meeting on Saturday 9 May, 2015. Thank you to the CE members who attended and played an active role in protecting and promoting the vision, beliefs and values of the organisation.

Worshipping across generations and denominations is always a blessing, and as we bathed CE in prayer for the coming year God’s faithfulness to past and future generations was evident.

The membership welcomed Grace Dickson as State Secretary. Having been involved in Senior Camp since 2004 she loves that what she does behind the scenes means that others are released to serve God’s people without having to worry about the nitty gritty details. The Board is certainly blessed (and very thankful!) to have Grace join them.

If you were unable to join us you can find news from teams here, and the finances here (pics and pie charts included).

Lastly, a note from Joan Moulton – a past Junior Camp volunteer and past Board member, who currently meets with the Senior Grade. She sums up well the feeling of all who attended.

The CE Seniors were delighted and so thankful to God, to read and hear so much more of all you are doing…or rather all He is doing through you all.

We send our love and thanks to God for all your talents and time and energy and inspiration that is enriching the lives of so many young people and their families too. May He continue to richly bless each one as you all walk with Him.

(past Junior Camp volunteer and past Board Member)

Nicole Mugford is part of Kids Alive – a monthly kids club for 7-12 year olds which is launching in May and will be run by Naracoorte Uniting Church.

After camp experience

SA Christian Endeavour has partnered with Access the Story to pilot sequel – an after camp experience to give campers the chance to keep exploring God’s story.

3 coaches and 4 campers are involved in the pilot this year. Pray that they know of a God who loves them and that He shows them more of what it means to follow Him with everything they have.

We look forward to hearing their story.

Eloise Lutz is in for a big year!

Having just finished year 12 she is heading to WA to do a DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM.

She’s investing a lot of her own money and time … never mind moving interstate for 6 months … so the CE Network were excited to be able to give a $100 grant towards her lecture costs.
